About Genitalium

A non-erotic, educational photographic archive showing the natural range of human genital appearance—so no one has to believe pornography’s single “normal.”

Our mission

Body positivity

Seeing real, unretouched bodies helps us accept that our own anatomy is perfectly normal. To keep things honest, we never reshape, smooth, or "beautify" any of the images.

Health education

This is a grounded visual reference for men’s and women’s health that shows actual, everyday diversity in anatomy, symmetry, size, and color. While it doesn't replace a medical diagnosis, it’s a powerful baseline for learning about healthy bodies.

Artist reference

We offer a consent-based, non-fetishized reference for illustrators, animators, and game artists. If you want to create anatomically grounded, inclusive characters, this gallery gives you real human variety to study—not just a single porn-derived template.

Countering misinformation

Porn and advertising simply aren't accurate surveys of human diversity. We intentionally separate education from arousal by using standardized poses and even, clinical lighting to keep the focus entirely on honest anatomy.

Clinicians & educators

GPs, urologists, sex educators, and therapists can use this archive as a reassuring tool during consultations. Showing patients what real bodies look like helps normalize their anatomy.

Research

Contributors can opt into providing basic survey data. Combined with expert analysis of the images, this helps support future academic studies on natural human variation.

How we treat images

  • Anonymous submissions; no public names
  • Manual review before anything is published
  • Crop, white balance, and shadow correction only
  • Non-erotic, standardized standing pose for comparability

Who we need

Insecurities cross every border. We especially welcome contributors whose backgrounds are underrepresented in existing archives.
